At the onset of the project, our team faced a daunting challenge: how to create a mobile app and hardware system that could capture and process a large amount of data about a pet's health, activity, and behavior. However, after consulting with our client and conducting extensive research, we were able to develop an efficient solution that exceeded their expectations.

First, we redesigned the product to focus on the mobile app as the main aspect of the system. This pivot allowed us to create a more user-friendly and functional app that could communicate seamlessly with the pet-worn device, which was now solely responsible for data collection. With this new approach, we were able to streamline the app's functionality, making it more accessible to pet owners.

Next, we implemented Bluetooth low energy as the communication system, allowing us to transfer data efficiently and effectively while reducing the cost and power consumption of the hardware. This decision proved to be a game-changer for our client, as it helped us create a highly functional mobile app that could clearly display the pet's health activity.

Our team worked tirelessly to bring our client's vision to life. We provided both technical and product advice, offered valuable input in the decision-making process, and collaborated closely with our client throughout the development process. We also rapidly prototyped the iOS mobile app, ran design sprints, and conducted rigorous testing until we were fully satisfied with the results.
